LASER THERAPY
What is Laser Therapy?
Laser light directs biostimulating light energy to the body's cells, which the cells then convert into chemical energy to return damaged cells to normal functioning, thereby promoting natural healing by the cells themselves.
Laser Therapy works by reducing inflammation and edema, increasing the production of ATP (an enzyme that is kept in reserve for cell repair), increasing the production of collagen, forming new blood vessels to supply oxygen-rich blood to organs and cells, and regenerating nerves. Laser can help with emotional balancing when it comes to such things as addictions and trauma. LT has been used successfully for pain therapy, smoking, weight loss and osteoporosis. The use of Laser Therapy for these purposes is cleared by the FDA as being safe and effective, with no known side effects. Europe has been using Laser therapy for over 40 years to help reduce and at times alleviate pain all together. the US has just recently allowed practitioners to use Laser therapy within the last 8 years.
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has been investigated and used clinically for over 30 years, mostly in Eastern Europe and Asia. The ability of lasers to cut, cauterize and destroy tissue is well known. These same or similar lasers at lower powers can nonthermally and nondestructively alter cellular function. This phenomenon, known as laser biostimulation, is the basis for the current use of lasers to treat a variety of articular, neural and soft tissue conditions. Some Conditions Lasers Have Been Known To Help:
